The Biology Program at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi focuses on enhancement of critical thinking skills which prepare students for careers in the biological sciences and other general areas of employment. For a well-rounded education, students at all levels are encouraged to become involved with scientific Research in addition to concentrating on their course work. The Biology Program offers the following degrees:

Ecology Marine Biology
Cell and Molecular Biology Microbiology
Animal Biology Plant Biology
Integrative Biology General Biology
Other students combine science and education courses for a concentration in Life Science Education (Grades 8-12). Also, undergraduate students majoring in other disciplines can earn a Minor in Biology.
  • Master of Science (M.S.) in Biology — the graduate degree involves course work and research. Master of Science students can choose to follow a Thesis Plan or a Non-Thesis Plan. Various stipends, assistantships, scholarships and other sources of funding are available to graduate students.
